About Us
Founded in February 2011, the VGBA is an international organization that aims to serve as a networking organization for lawyers who primarily practice in the video game industry.
As a worldwide organization, which has sent invites to over 100 attorneys in North America and Europe, the VGBA is the first association of its kind related to the games business.
VGBA seeks to achieve its mission by constantly working toward three goals: (1) Serve our members; (2) Improve our profession; and (3) Advance the rule of law.
Our Mission
The VGBA’s mission is to build a vibrant global community of legal professionals supporting the video game industry by providing resources, fostering professional relationships, and supporting the education of its members.
Leadership
The VGBA Board consists of twelve exceptional game law industry veterans, one Executive Director, and four law student Project Managers.

When will the membership benefits be live on the website?
The next phase of our new VGBA website will roll out in 3 waves over the first quarter of 2026. Onboarding our current paid members will be first. Next, we’ll reach out to lapsed members who have met our membership requirements to update their status. Finally, we will open registration and applications for new members.
