Memberships

We are dedicated to bringing value, inspiration, professional enrichment, and community to our members. It is essential to us that our trade association remains within the financial reach of all in the interactive law profession. We have a range of membership levels for individuals, students, and in-house groups.

All prospective members must first apply to be peer-certified as an active practitioner in the industry.  At this time, all members of the VGBA must be:

  • An attorney in good standing
  • Either actively practicing in the video game and interactive entertainment industry or currently employed by a law school as a professor in specialized topics of the field.

We plan to add a new tier in 2026 for members with legal-professional goals aligned with game industry law who might not fit in our existing two categories (full-time professional or student).
